Switzerland is among the countries with the highest proportion
of foreign nationals in its resident population: a quarter of
its inhabitants are foreign nationals.
On entering and staying in Switzerland, foreign nationals must
follow certain regulations in order to gain access to the labor
market. Foreign nationals who wish to stay in Switzerland without
seeking employment, e.g. as a tourist, may do so for up to three
months without needing a visa (depending on nationality).
